To Help Us Continue Presenting Quality Musical Experiences!
Education
In addition to our concerts, MPAC hosts many performance and educational opportunities. Groups for both youth and adults, offer ways in which artists can connect with peers and develop their crafts.
The Art Song Project, for vocalists, meets to perform poetry set to music. Piano lovers can join the Piano Performance Group, which meets once a month to perform repertoire on our magnificent Steinway pianos.
Youth opportunities include the Chandler Starr Miller Scholarship Competition, Young Musicians Series, Masterclasses, and Educational Outreach Events.
Support
MPAC could not operate without its generous supporters! There are many ways to support MPAC:
Help us create a space that better serves our arts community by contributing to MPAC’s Capital Campaign; support our programs and leave a legacy of music with planned giving and endowment funds; donate your time and share your talents as a Mendelssohn volunteer; have fun while supporting MPAC’s programs by attending one of our fundraisers; develop your skills and gain resume-building experience as an intern at MPAC. We truly appreciate all of the different ways you support us—thank you!
About Us
Founded as the Mendelssohn Club on October 4, 1884, the Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center (MPAC) is the oldest continuously operating music organization in the United States!
We invite you to feel at home with us. Join the Piano Group or The Art Song Project, attend one of the recitals featuring talented area youth, or stop in on a Sunday to sample fabulous jazz. Consider purchasing season tickets, and return often to experience our impressive concerts and events. We look forward to seeing you!
