Art Song Project

MPAC’s Programs

Art songs are poetry set to music. They come from different eras, countries, and languages, and comprise a world of song.  The Art Song Project is an ongoing exploration of this world: singers hunt for, prepare, and share with the group the songs they find. It’s like a book club for singers.

Singers are encouraged to follow the theme for each program, but are welcome to come and sing any art song they may enjoy.  There is a fee to participate as a vocalist; it is paid to our pianist.

Guest audience members are welcome to attend performances at no fee. Please enter via the east (glass) door. The performance space is reached by a half flight of stairs; for questions regarding accessibility, please contact the MendelssohnPAC office.
