Sunday Jazz
Evon J. Sams is a multi-instrumentalist, educator, and artist currently based in Chicago. His unique approach blends elements from European classical and concert band music to R&B, hip hop, and jazz. These influences create thoughtful, soulful music that permeates throughout his various instruments and compositional voice. His Nonet (nine-member ensemble) first appeared at Evon’s graduate recital in 2023.
